Abstract

Trawling-gear.-To prevent the ground-rope from being cut or worn by the steel bushes in the rollers I, these rollers are mounted on tubes H secured on the ground-rope by wedges h.. The rollers are secured on the tubes by end nuts H<2>. In a modification, the roller is made in two pieces I, I<1>, Fig. 6, between which is a ring J which can be passed over the flanged ends H<1>, H<2> of the tube H. The roller is secured in position by semicircular pieces K. K<1> and bolts k. An improved rope clip consists of axially-split bobbins D, D', Fig. 4, with metal liners A, A' secured to the ground-rope B by pins C. The half bobbins are held together by through-bolts E, F. The bobbins may be further secured by hinged straps G<1>.
