Abstract

2994. Vogtlõndische Maschinenfabrik (vorm. J. C. & H. Dietrich Akt.-Ges.). Feb. 5, 1912, [Convention date]. Embroidery machines.-In machines working with interchangeahle gronps of needles, the threads of the needles when not in use are not cut but their guides are made yieldable so as to permit the threads to follow the movement of the work-frame and yet remain taut. In one form, the thread spools 5 and tensions 6 of each set of needles are carried on a separate pivoted frame. This frame 10 is locked by a latch 13 when the corresponding set of needles is in use and the frame 12 corresponding to the idle set of needles is free to swing so as to accommodate the threads carried on it to the movement of the work-frame. In another form, the spools and tensions are stationary and the threads of each set are passed over a take-up rod mounted on a frame similar to the frame 10. The latch 13 may be operated by the coupling- levers 18, 19 of the needle-driving gear.
