27,964. Noel, L. N. J. Dec. 26, 1911, [Convention date]. Void. [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act.] [Application for Patent of Addition to 6644/11.] Spray carburettors.-In a carburettor as described in the parent Specification having nozzles for petrol and naphthalene, the nozzle valves are connected so that each closes as the other opens. The engine is started with petrol until the carburettor is sufficiently heated by the exhaust gases to liquify the naphthalene in its supply nozzle and operation of its valve becomes possible. As shown, the pin valves 1, 3 are screwed in opposite directions and provided with toothed pinions 2, 4. Toothed sectors 8, 9 integral with a hub 5 turning on a pin 6 engage the pinions 2, 4, giving simultaneous operation of the valves when rotated by a lever provided.
