Abstract

24,201. Headley, F. H. Oct. 23. Folding vehicles.-In a collapsible baby-carriage, each axle c carrying a pair of wheels is secured to a frame b pivoted to the main frame a, and in the collapsing operation each frame b is turned towards the centre of the vehicle. A lever e is pivoted to each side member of the frame a, and at points on opposite sides of the pivot is connected by links g, h to the front and rear frames b respectively. Each lever e is connected by a link j to the handle-frame i which is operated to effect the opening and collapsing of the vehicle. The parts are locked in position for use by hinged stays k.
