Springs, arrangement of.-In a folding perambulator or like vehicle comprising a chassis frame carrying a body frame consisting of pivoted linkwork, the front wheels are rigidly carried by downwardly cranked or directed parts of the chassis or body frame while the rear wheels are yieldingly carried by rearwardly extending rigid radius arms pivoted to the chassis and controlled by compression springs interposed between the arms and the chassis. As shown, the perambulator comprises a chassis 10, Fig. 1, a handle member 30 pivoted thereto at 33, a pivoted front U-shaped member 34 having its limbs parallel with the limbs of the handle member, and link:; 37 parallel with the chassis 10. The body frame is held in the unfolded position by jointed stretcher bars 41, 42. The sides of the flexible seat 39 are secured to wooden strips 38 carried by the links 37. The front axle 14 is secured to the downwardly inclined front ends 12 of the chassis and the rear axle 20 to the pivoted radius arms 17 by clips 19, Fig. 5, the radius arms being connected together by a transverse bar 22 bearing against compression springs 28 which abut against a transverse bar 25 on a chassis. In a modification, the front axle is carried by downward extensions of the members 34 so that the front and rear wheels move towards each other when the perambulator is folded.
