Abstract

8011. Leadbetter, G. D. April 17. Perambulators.-The handles A, having extensions B in which the axles of the rear wheels are journalled, carry brackets c pivoted to the seat H and the spider frame D at a", c' respectively. The brackets carry arms m to which the bars F are pivoted, and these bars are jointed to the bars G, which are pivoted to the seat H and support the footboard I. When the arms G are raised, the chain t attached to the arm s<1> lifts the notch e<1> of the pivoted locking-lever from the pin i of the spider, and the vehicle can then be folded into the position shown in dotted lines in Fig. 2, and secured by causing the ends v<1> of straps passed through the slots u to engage the screws v<11>.
