Lids and covers.-A box is partly opened by turning a lever 9, Fig. 4, provided with inwardly-projecting lugs at each end, so that one lug bears on the bead 3 of the body. The lever is pivoted to a lip 6, Fig. 5, preferably formed integral with the lid, by punching the lip to form a flanged opening and by securing the lever between the lip and the turned-over edge 8. In a modification, the lever is disposed between the cover and an integral lip, and has an eyelet projecting into an opening in the lip. The lever has a finger-piece 11 on its upper or lower edge.
