Lids and covers.-A box for drawing-pins, paper-fasteners, pills, &c. has a hinged flap lid d formed by pressing out the material on three sides so as to leave a rough edge; when the lid is pressed inwards, it is held down by engagement with the edge of the surrounding flange d<2>. A tongue e bent out from the plane of the lid is provided to facilitate opening. The invention is shown applied to a box composed of upper and lower parts a, b, which may be secured together by wire staples, but it is applicable to drawer-and-shell and other boxes.
