Abstract

1639. Watson, H. B., and Billetop, T. C. Jan. 20. Multi-stage centrifugal pumps.-In a centrifugal pump in which the fluid passes from the inlet I in two parallel streams through two sets of impellers H1, H2, to a common central impeller H3, the casing is of spherical configuration and the impellers increase in diameter as shown. Several units of the form shown may be connected in series. The casing is formed in two halves jointed in an horizontal plane.
