Pressure-regulating valves. - A piston-actuated pressure-reducing valve of the type controlled by a diaphragm-actuated auxiliary valve has the auxiliary valve and its actuating-means arranged in the main piston, and has a supplementary hand-operated auxiliary valve to enable the apparatus to be used as a stop-valve. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the main valve b is formed integrally with a leaky piston B. The auxiliary valve C seats on a plate b<1> screwed into the piston, and is actuated by a corrugated metal diaphragm c against the action of a spring c<1> adjusted from outside the casing by a screw c<5>. In a modification, a leather diaphragm is substituted for the metal one. The hand-actuated auxiliary valve is arranged to contact with a seating surrounding the auxiliary valve C.
