Abstract

5562. Post, G. von. March 6. Reducing-valves.-In a piston or diaphragm operated pressure-reducing valve of the kind in which the movements of the piston &c. are transmitted to the valve through toggle-joint lever mechanism, the valve f is arranged so as to be pressed towards its seat by the highpressure fluid assisted by a spring h. The valve is positively opened by the piston or diaphragm b under the action of an adjustable spring c.
