Abstract

108,523. Millea, T. D. Aug. 9, 1916. Pressure - regulating valves. - A piston - actuated pressure - regulator is loaded by two concentrically arranged oppositely acting springs. The valve member 24 is detachably secured to the actuating piston 16 by a yoke 20 and is guided by a tail piece 29 provided with a slot 30 to facilitate detachment. The tailpiece works in a ported socket 34 formed on a detachable cover 32. The piston packing 15' is held between a plate 16 and a plate 8 having an upstanding socket 9 provided at its upper end with an adjustable abutment 11 for the spring 12. A second spring 14 is arranged inside the socket between an abutment 15 and an abutment 13 adjusted by a screw 7.
