Abstract

109,199. Williams, J., and Mayall, W. H. Jan. 20, 1917. Fluid-octuated valves. -A pressure - regulating valve of the kind described in Specification 12968/15, in which the valve is provided with a floating-disk actuating-member arranged in an adjustable casing, has a light spring for normally holding the valve away from its seat. The needle valve c<2>, which engages a seat a<2>, is secured to a disk c' arranged in a chamber formed in a slidable member b and partly closed at the lower end by a plate b<4> having a central aperture surrounded by a notched flange b<2>. The spring d is arranged between the disk c' and the plate b<4>. Holes may be provided in the outer casing a to facilitate the adjustment of the inner casing b, or a disk e' carrying a crank-pin e<2> may be used as described in Specification 22847/14.
