Abstract

19,845. Ehrich & Graetz. March 28, [Convention date]. Pressure-regulating valves.-Relates to nippleregulators, especially for inverted incandescent gas burners, fitted with a pressure-regulator having a regulating-piston 22, under the pressure on one side of a chamber 32 in direct communication with the gas main, and on the other side of a chamber 33. to which the gas passes through a throttle device. The piston 22 regulates an aperture 14 leading to a tube 12 and the nipple orifice 9. In order that the regulation of the orifice 9 shall not alter the pressure, the throttle device is formed by an aperture 18 and a cone 15 connected to the nipple-regulating pin 7 by the tube 12, into which the cone 15 is adjustably screwed. The pressure chambers 32, 33 are formed by a cylinder 20, which has openings 25 in direct communication with the gas main, a lower plate 24 which centres the tube 12, and a cover 17 having a neck 18 forming the throttle aperture. The cover 17 and cone 15 are enclosed by a perforated hood 16, held in place by lugs 28.
