Abstract

Incandescent gas burners; gas supply.-In incandescent gas burners provided with means for adjusting the supply of gas and air to the mixing- tube separately, the burner body is formed with a screwed boss a, Fig. 1, for attachment to the gas supply, the gas traversing a passage b to a chamber c whence it passes through slots g<1>, provided in a hollow plug g, and a small orifice in the nipple k to the mixing-chamber d. The air passes to the burner through an opening f made in the burner body, the amount being regulated by rotating the head h of the hollow plug g. The nipple k of this plug acts as a valve finding a seating in the open end of the Bunsen tube d. The gas supply is regulated by a needle valve i attached tq a screwed spindle j<1> which works in the plug g. The mantle carrier is screwed on to the abutting walls of the chamber e.
