Abstract

215,431. Cleary, T. J., and Quinn, G. F. Feb. 6, 1923. Pressure, regulating valves.-A gas regulator of the kind provided with a double beat valve actuated by a liquid sealed bell has the valve chamber of greater cross sectional area than the inlet and increasing in cross sectional area as the distance from the inlet increases. The valve chamber 14 is in axial alignment with the inlet 3 and has two valve seats 16, 18, the seat 16 being slightly smaller than the seat 18. The lower valve member 19 has guide legs 19<a> and together with the valve member 17 is mounted on a spindle 10. The spindle 10 passes through a hole 9 in a domeshaped part 8 and is adjustably connected by nuts 12, 13 to an actuating bell 11 adapted to work in a mercury seal 7. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 3374/78 and 5447/80.
