Vaporizers, external. -The vaporizer tube 9 has internal baffle-plates 10, 11 supported on rods 13 and is heated by exhaust gases in the jacket 4. A rich mixture formed at the lower end 25 of the tube 9 becomes a fixed gas in passing through the vaporizer and is cooled before passing the throttle valve 19 by air admitted by the valve 15. The float-chamber is shown at 22 and the fuel valve at 23. The vaporizer is heated at starting by a flame inserted through an opening in the casing 4.
