Abstract
14,877. Ferrari, C. June 27, 1910, [Convention date]. Bakers' ovens.-Relates to portable bakers' or like ovens, and comprises means for ensuring uniformity of temperature in, and ventilation of, the baking-chambers and for withdrawing the bread without loss of heat. Gases from a furnace 6 pass through a flue 8 to a rear vertical flue 9 and then flow in series through flues 5, 5<1> to a second rear vertical flue connected to a removable stack. Air flowing through grids 14 at the grate level passes through passages 13, 15, Fig. 4, to a front chamber 16, and enters the baking-compartments through inlets 17 and escapes through openings 17<1> leading to a flue 20 connected to the stack. Dampers 19 connected to rods 18 are provided as shown. Frames 22, for supporting the articles to be baked, are provided with sleeves 28 resting within the oven upon hollow rods 25, each having a telescoping rod 26. As the frames are withdrawn from the oven, they are supported by the rods 26 which are carried forwards, the sleeves 28 abutting against collars 27. When the frames are returned to the interior of the oven, the rods 26 are pushed back by the front plates 23. These plates and similar plates at the rear respectively close the oven aperture in the two extreme positions of the frames 22.
