580,463. Gas cooking-ovens. SMITH, C. D., and OTTON, D. H. Aug. 10, 1944, No. 15291. [Class 126] In a gas cook ing-oven the burners a are located at the base of a rear channel formed by a vertical partition c, the gases passing up the channel and forwardly over the upper edge c<2> of the partition intc the baking chamber. Exhaust ports e<1>, provided at the lower ends of the oven side walls; extend through the shelf racks e and the lining plates d and communicate with side flues f discharging at the rear of the oven. An aperture c<1>, for inspecting the flames, is provided at the bottom of the partition c.
