Abstract

7483. Fielding, J. March 25. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel. - An horizontal fuel valve E has a central chamber to which fuel is supplied and radial orifices I through which it is sprayed. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the fuel is supplied by a passage C and air by a passage B to a chamber D. The fuel is forced through the central passage by air pressure. Air may pass through grooves J to spray the fuel issuing from the passages I. In a modification, fuel is dropped into the central passage from above.
