Abstract

1928. Tatarek, E., and Benk÷, J. von. Jan. 25. Breech-actions, sliding breech block.-Relates to cartridge magazines for self-loading fire-arms, such as those of the Browning type. According to the invention, the magazine consists of a straight part 2 and a spiral part 3, provided with an axle 5, actuated by a spiral spring 6 to press forward the cartridges 4. On the ends of the axle 5 are mounted cranks 8 having slots 9 engaging the arms 11 of the cartridge-pusher 10, and guiding the said arms 11 in spiral slots 14 in the walls of the magazine. Additional pressure on the cartridges is supplied by a helical spring 12, which bears at one end against the pusher plate 10, and at the other against the plate 13 in contact with the last cartridge.
