Ammunition receptacles.-Relates to cartridge clips for charging large-magazine fire-arms, and consists mainly in making them with parallel columns of cartridges, which are inserted one after another into the magazine of the rifle. In the form shown, the clip c, for charging a magazine containing ten cartridges, holds two columns of cartridges in guides e, f by springs h, and has pivots j, either of which may be placed in a notch m in the breech casing of the gun so that the clip may be rocked to bring the columns one after the other in line with the magazine; these positions are determined by the engagement of pins o on the breech casing with holes k on the clip and by stops p.
