Abstract
526,200. Cartridge magazines for machine guns. GAZDA, A. March 10, 1939, No. 7773. Convention date, August 19, 1938. [Class 92 (ii)] Relates to drum magazines of the kind in which the cartridges b are moved along a spiral or other guide x by a pusher f urged by a clock spring e. According to the invention, a disconnectable coupling g, g<SP>1</SP> is provided between the part c connected with the pusher and the part d connected with the spring. The arrangement is such that, when charging the magazine, the pusher is free to move without stressing the spring, the part d being rotated by a handle m to stress the spring only when the magazine is in use.
