Abstract
191,022. Allmõnna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget. Jan. 2, 1922, [Convention date]. Clutches, friction.-Means for power transmission comprise one or more hydraulically operated multiple-plate friction clutches for forward drive and an hydraulic transmission gear for reverse drive, the hydraulic gear being empty when the forward drive is in operation. The hydraulic gear comprises pump and motor members 6, 7, Fig. 1, on the driving and driven shafts and a stationary distributor 8, and the friction clutch 12 is disposed at the free ends of the shafts. In a modification, the distributor 8 is revoluble. and is capable of connection to the driving and driven shafts and to a fixed casing 13, Fig. 2, by friction clutches 15, 16 and 14 respectively. In a further form, the clutches 15, 16 are dispensed with ,and a clutch 17, Fig. 3, is provided between the members 6, 7 and the distributor.
