Abstract

10,861. Scott, B. D., Scott, W. E., and Peet, W. W. May 3. [Cognate Application 23,788/10.] Two -stroke - cycle engines. - In a valveless radial revolving - cylinder engine, the pistons uncover exhaust ports, air-admission ports, and ports for the admission of vaporized fuel, in the order named. The air-admission port C<2> is placed in the direction of rotation of the engine. The vaporized fuel is supplied under pressure from the crank-case B through pipes C<4>. When the engine has two cylinders fired simultaneously, compression in the crank - case is effected by the pistons, but with more than two cylinders a fan is provided in the crank-case.
