Two-stroke-cycle engines; cylinders, construction of.-A radial revolving-cylinder engine has a number of differential cylinders a, b, of which the inner cylinder spaces a<1> act as pumps. Mixture is supplied from a chamber f through pipes e and ports a<2>, and on the in - strokes passes through ports a<2>, passages h<2>, h, h' and valves b<2> to the working spaces. A separate supply of mixture passes through the port i<1> in a spring sleeve i surrounding each piston and through a passage j to the vicinity of the sparking-plug l. Terminal exhaust ports and exhaust valves m are provided, the latter opening into a passage parallel to the direction of motion of the cylinders. A high- or low-tension distributor p is mounted around the chamber f.
