Abstract

1195. Overbook, O. G. C. L. J. Jan. 17. Alcoholic liquids, distilling.-Alcohol is removed from beer by passing carbon dioxide, or fermentation gas, through the beer. The gas is passed from a gas-holder through a closed vessel containing the beer and is received in a second gas-holder. The beer is heated to about 90‹ F. The gas may be washed free from alcohol and used again.
