Abstract
22,092. Le Petit, C. J. M. M. Sept. 28. Drawings to Specification. Fermenting.-The fermentation of beverages is carried out in closed insulated vessels, and the carbon dioxide evolved is collected in closed insulated chambers containing charcoal, which has been heated in a non-oxidizing atmosphere and allowed to cool so as to become absorbent for the gas. The chambers are evacuated before passing in the gas. After fermentation, the gas is driven from the charcoal by heating, and is passed into the fermented liquid.
