Abstract

15,481. Carpmael, R. H. July 2. Measuring-devices; pipes.-A lubricator for the internal-combustion engines of motorcycles, motor-vehicles, .&c. comprises a reservoir containing a pump the plunger of which is raised by hand and depressed by a spring c. The flow of lubricant is regulated by a valve j with a graduated head k, placed in the interior of a plug-cock i, which may be turned by a handle m to shut off the supply without disturbing the adustment of the valve j. A spring catch n holds the plug-cock i in either position. In a modification the plug-cock i is omitted. The plunger b is flared at the end to bear against the inlet valve f at the lowest point of its stroke.
