13,569. Baveystock, A. R. H. Dec. 9. Folding vehicles.-In children's folding carriages having pivoted cross - frames and side arms pivoted to one frame and connecting the two frames when extended, the free ends of the arms engage the frame so as also to prevent accidental closing. The arms c are pivoted at one end to brackets d on the short frame b, and connected together at their other ends by a cross-bar e, which can just be sprung over the ends of the long frame a when the carriage is folded, stops f limiting the movement. Notches g in the arms engage pins h when the carriage is unfolded. Fig. 5 shows a modification, in which the arms c are fixed to brackets d<1> pivoted to the short frames so as to enable the arms to be turned down over the pins h. Another modification is described in which the arms are pivoted to fixed brackets on the long frame and turn down over the pins h, and the child faces the person pushing the carriage.
