Abstract

22,925. Abbott, S. S. Oct. 8. [Addition to 21,781/11.] Folding and collapsible tables.-The invention consists in so arranging the legs that when one pair is folded the other pair fold simultaneously. In Fig. 1 the legs A are hinged to the table at A<2> and are connected by links G to a frame E slidable in grooves D in the table frame. The legs B are hinged at B<2> to the frame E and are connected to the table by links H. When the legs A are folded, the frame E slides and causes the legs B to fold simultaneously. A bar J, connected by springs J<1> to a fixed bar F, retains the frame E in position as described in the parent Specification. Fig. 5 shows a modification in which both pairs of legs are hinged to sliding frames E and are connected by links G to opposite frames. The legs are shown partly folded.
