Abstract
12,243. Gibson, H. C. June 1, 1908, [Convention date]. Cylinders, cooling.-A radiator is used comprising a water-box A and a condenser B mounted above the box. The water-box A comprises tubes connecting two headers E, F ; the condenser is formed of small tubes connecting the header F with another header H ; an air-escape valve J is placed in the top of the condenser. The water-jacket is connected to the water-box by pipes D, D<1>, a steamcollecting pipe L leading from the upper pipe to the top of the condenser. The water formed in the condenser gives a suction effect in the steampipe L.
