Incandescent gas lamps. -An inverted lamp is provided with two flues C, D arranged concentrically with the burner tube A, the outer flue carrying a closed globe G and a glass cylinder e surrounding the mantle. Air is supplied to the lamp downwards between the two flues as well as through the perforated globeholder, and the combustion gases escape from the top of the.inner flue through a side opening c<3> having upper and lower shields c<4>, d<3> for preventing the combustion gases from mixing with either the internal or the external air supply.
