Incandescent gas lamps.-The lamp is carried by a sleeve 5, Fig. 2, screwed on the gas-supply pipe 3 and forming a valve with its tapered end 6, so that the gas supply is regulated by turning the lamp on the pipe 3. The burner mouth is formed with perforations or with a serrated opening. Air is supplied to the mixing-tube 8' through tubes 13, and the combustion products escape through slots 16<1> in the upper part of the casing. A chimney or globe holder 25, Fig. 7, rests on the enlarged part of the casing, and an additional globe holder 31 may be employed. An outer closed globe 35 may be used in conjunction with a perforated gallery 31<1> and an inner chimney 27.
