Abstract

190,576. Short, H. O. Oct. 14, 1921. Planes, arrangenaent of.-The lower wings of a biplane have upwardly inclined portions 4 near the fuselage so as to leave the occupants an unobstructed view downwards. The junctions between the portions 4 and the rest of the lower wings are preferably arranged above the struts 7 of the undercarriage, and, in a twin-engined machine, just below the engines. Additional stays 9 extend to the fuselage from the junctions.
