Energy meters.-An induction motor meter for a single alternating current has a conductive disc C revolving between the poles of two laminated i r o n cores B, D. The upper core B has closed conductive circuits L surrounding its two outer poles, and carries a maincurrent winding A on an intermediate pole. The lower core D carries coils H in a highly inductive pressure circuit, and a separate block E of laminated iron is placed between its poles, to act directly on the disc C, and also to cause the magnetic flux in the lower core D to be in quadrature with the electric pressure. Arrangements are referred to in which the block E is replaced by two longer blocks placed at the sides of the lower poles, or by an open rectangle surrounding both poles.
