Abstract

11,414. Baker, W., and Offen, G. C. May 7. Engines with mechanism other than simple connecting- rods transmitting motion to crank.- Consists of means for converting the reciprocating motion of pistons into rotary motion, especially applicable to the multiple - cylinder gas engine described in Specification No. 13,594, A.D. 1890, but also applicable to other engines and machines. The crossheads F attached to the piston-rods carry rollers B engaging with a cam-groove or path A. The latter is mounted on a disc G fast on the shaft to be rotated.
