Abstract
28,716. Tuckfield, C., and Garland, W. G. De F. Dec. 13. Two.stroke-cycle engines; cylinders; construction of; driving-gear.-On each side and partly below the crank shaft D are arranged inverted cylinders in pairs. The pistons of each pair are connected to the crank-shaft through a cross-head with a trunk guide E and a return connecting-rod. The engine works on a twostroke cycle compressing in the front end of the cylinders. The explosion ends of the cylinders are connected in pairs by a tube C to equalize the pressure in the cylinders.
