189,676. Reynolds, T. Jan. 3, 1922. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Exhaust-silencers.-In a silencer comprising a number of conical members 15 mounted in a cylindrical casing 10, the exhaust pipe 7 is connected to one end of the casing, so that exhaust gases pass through the apices of the conical members, and one or more branches 18 from the main exhaust pipe enter the casing 10 at the side, so that exhaust gases are drawn through the pipes 18 by the suction between the conical members. Rods 14 are passed through lugs 16 on the members 10, which are connected together at their smaller ends by ears 17.
