Abstract
189,008. Pullen, r. Jan. 9, 1922. Channels in pistons.-An internal-combustion engine having terminal inlet and exhaust ports has a groove 7 in the piston to connect these ports at the end of the instroke. To prevent excessive flow of lubricating oil into this groove and thence into the combustion chamber two oil collecting grooves 13 are formed above and below the groove 7.
