Abstract
187,272. Schrader's Son, Inc., A., and Schweinert, M. C. June 10, 1921. Addition to 157,174. Tyre valves.- A tyre valve of the type having a supplementary casing secured in the main casing by a loose coupling surrounding the supplementary casing has a valve seat at its lower end and has the outer end of the supplementary casing open to receive the insides of a different type of valve. The supplementary casing b has a packing washer d held in a groove c and adapted to be pressed against a shoulder e in the main casing by a coupling h provided with a long bearing j, and arranged to screw into the main casing. Rotation of the supplementary casing is prevented by lugs f engaging grooves or slots in the casing a. The lower end of the casing b has a conical seat m to co-operate with a dolly pin valve member n or a loose ball valve. The upper part of the member b is chambered out to receive valve insides comprising a seat member o held in position by a screwed ring # and adapted to co-operate with a lift valve t loaded by a spring 2 bearing against an abutment 3.
