Abstract

220,218. Soc. Anon. des Etablissements TÚcalÚmit. Nov. 21, 1923, [Convention date]. Dust caps for tyre valves.- A cap adapted to be mounted on the valve casing of a tyre valve is provided with an opening normally closed by a spring loaded indiarubber valve so that the tyre may be inflated without removing the cap. The cap is provided with internal screw threads at a<1> whereby it is attached to the valve stem b and has a skirt a' adapted to protect the threads on the stem. The valve member which is frustro-conical in shape has a head g adapted to fill the aperture in the cap and is pressed to its seat by a spring f bearing against plate d which also supports a packing c. The end of the cap is formed with a groove h adapted to receive a coupling device known under the registered name of " Tecalemit " or with threads or hooks to receive a coupling.
