Abstract

187,037. Ekman, G. July 18, 1921. Dispensing liquids.-A devica for preparing aerated water and drawing it off by glassfuls comprises a carbonic acid bottle and a mixing chamber into which the water passes from a mixing nozzle, the whole being arranged to be suitable for household or retail use. The mixing chamber 1, Fig. 2, is enclosed in a casing 26 containing ice &c. and the water enters through a pipe 9, a cooling-coil 27 and a nozzle 20 comprising two opposed openings and a valve controlled by a float 25 in the mixing-chamber. The whole is contained in one compartment of a cupboard 3, Fig. 1 which may be lined with sheet zinc forming an air-jacket and used as a refrigerator. The other compartment contains the carbonic acid bottle 4 and a reducing valve 7. The aerated water is drawn off through a pipe 14 passing through a standard 12 at the top of the cupboard provided with a draw-off cock 13 adapted to act as a snifting-valve. The cupboard may be mounted on wheels. If the pressure of the available water-supply is not sufficient to force the water to the chamber 1 a pump may be provided.
