Feed-water, supplying.-Relates to apparatus for feeding water or other liquid to an evaporator, particularly to an evaporator used in a refrigerating plant such as that described in Specification 1853/15, [Class 29, Cooling &c.], of the kind comprising a receiver h connected to a condenser &c. a by a pipe m containing a non-return valve l, and an auxiliary evaporator f, which generates vapour for forcing the liquid from the receiver into the main evaporator d. Liquid is fed to the auxiliary evaporator through a syphon g opening into an intermediate vessel s in communication through a pipe with the top of the receiver. The cock o in the pipe r placing the receiver in communication with the condenser may be replaced by a floatvalve.
