Abstract

109,196. Weir, G. & J., and Latta, J. G. Jan. 15, 1917. Bulk evaporators.-Brine is discharged from an evaporator a used on board ship, by means of an ejector e supplied with liquid under a head sufficient to discharge the brine into the sea, a valve c being provided between the evaporator and the ejector. The ejector may be supplied with liquid from the sanitary tank or from the main or auxiliary circulating - pumps. The brine is usually discharged continuously, the discharge being regulated by the valve c and the ejector valve d.
