484,952. Cooling liquids. SIMARD, R. J. June 29, 1937, No. 18079. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1936. [Class 29] Liquids to be delivered from casks &c. 23 to dispensing taps 10 are cooled by circulating cooled air from a refrigerated storage chamber 21 for the casks through a conduit 15 enclosing the liquid pipes 12, 13, 14. An insulated tank or chamber 11 at the delivery end is provided with a baffle 16 above,which the cooled air is discharged and from below which air is returned through a pipe 20 concentric with pipe 15, back to the storage chamber. The cooled air is taken from the bottom of the storage chamber by a conduit 24 connected with a fan 25. A further concentric pipe 28 around conduit 20 provides dead-air insulation.
