Abstract

185,322. Tumulla, P. J. Aug. 29, 1921. Sliding-jaw wrenches; jaw faces and attachments.-In wrenches of the kind in which the sliding jaw 6 is locked in adjusted position by a lever 9 pivoted in a recess therein and provided with serrations 12 adapted to engage serrations 4 on the shank 2 the jaw 6 is made in two parts, a cover-plate 7, Fig. 3, being bolted to the main part 5 and abutting against a shoulder 8 thereon. The lever 9 is loosely mounted on its pivot pin 11 to facilitate unlocking, and its rounded end abuts against a corresponding recess 13. A pivoted detachable jaw-face 14 is provided, its pivot pin 15 engaging a hole in the part 5 and a corresponding hole in the plate 7.
