Sliding-jaw wrenches. -The sliding jaw 3 of a wrench is locked in adjusted position by a toothed block 10 loosely pivoted by means of a pin 12 in a recess in the jaw 3 and provided with a toothed and bevelled side 11 forced into engagement with teeth 7 and released by pressing a projection 14. Plain surfaces 8, 9 adjacent to the teeth 7 form bearing-surfaces for the sliding jaw.
