Abstract

183,511. Thomson, W. G., and Steele, G. M. Feb. 28, 1921. Tools.-In a mitering and notching tool of the type described in Specification 155,978 for forming joints in mouldings &c., the two side cutters 8 are detachably secured against the inclined faces of the angular head 7 and the centre cutter 11 against a third face, the head being integral with the stem 5 of the toolholder, which is provided with a tapered end 6 for securing it to the reciprocating spindle or tool-holder of a manually or power driven machine such as a mortising machine. The cutters may be slotted so as to be adjustable on their clamping screws 9, 12 and the head may be formed with a flange 10 to form an abutment for the rupper edges of the side cutters.
