Abstract

182,981. Robotham, A. E. May 2, 1921 Perambulators.-In push chairs, perambulators,. &c. having adjustable child-supporting members comprising a seat, seat-back, and foot-rest, which are hinged together, each of the supporting-members is slidably supported upon or within guides provided upon the vehicle frame or body. A barkrest 5 resting against a curved portion 6 of or upon the back of the body is hinged at its lower end to a seat 2 which slides in guides formed on the sides 1 and carries a hinged footboard 7 supported by guides 8 shaped as shown. As the seat-back 5 is, raised or lowered the seat 2 slides backwards or forwards increasing or decreasing the inclination of the foot-board 7, rollers 4, 4<a>, 4<b> reducing friction between the working parts. A locking pin 9 engages recesses in the seat 2 or a member attached thereto to secure the seat in any desired position.
